Earth Day Alliance Fair at Laguna Lake Park, Saturday, April 23, 11am-4pm
SLO Climate Coalition will be participating in this event with three booths representing our programs:
Green Transportation is hosting the “Transportation Hub”, a showcase of Electric Vehicles, E-Bikes, and more – with information about how you can ditch fossil fuels and join the electric mobility movement cheaply and intelligently. The “Hub” will give visitors an opportunity to speak to local EV owners, dealerships about their offers, and with experts about local, state, and federal incentives. Many different models will be available to explore. Visit Drive Electric Earth Day.

Micro-Community Collaborative will be signing people up on the Resilient SLO platform – a program developed to create a cleaner, healthier future, save money, and reduce your impact.
Uniting the Central Coast for Action collaborates with individuals and environmental organizations in the five counties served by Central Coast Community Energy. We will be there to provide information and answer questions.
There will be an engaging solar activity for both adults and children.
Diversity Speaker Series, April 23
On April 23rd, 2022, from 4:00pm-5:15pm at the San Luis Obispo Library Community Room, you are invited for a talk with Dr. Danielle Wood. As the director of the cutting-edge Space Enabled research group at MIT’s Media Lab, Danielle Wood applies designs enabled by space research to projects that advance social good here on Earth – whether that’s fighting for climate justice, addressing social inequities, or preventing the next famine. She shows us how entrepreneurial spirit and cross-disciplinary collaboration can be used to bring about a more just and innovative future.
