Presenters:
Tom Williard is the Founder and CEO of Sage Energy Consulting. He will detail the steps municipalities will need to develop, contract, and finance clean energy projects. Tom will also share details of the cutting-edge clean energy projects he’s facilitated.
Tom has a background in hardware and software modeling and is Sage’s in-house expert for financial and risk analysis. Tom regularly presents to trade groups on advanced energy topics, including battery energy storage and microgrids. He has been at the forefront of resiliency research and planning.
Peter Asmus is the Executive Director of the Alaska Microgrid Group. His presentation will focus on ways to fund the development and operation of microgrids at public facilities.
Peter is a global expert on microgrids, virtual power plants, distributed energy resource management systems (DERMS), nanogrids and other emerging platforms designed to maximize the value of distributed energy resources. With over 30 years of experience in the field, he is the author of four books and numerous articles, reports, forecasts and white papers on energy and environmental issues.
