Collective Regeneration is a new model for helping farmers transition to climate-smart regenerative agriculture.
membership
Food and beverage businesses join as members and customers contribute with each purchase.
grants
Farmers apply for grants to implement regenerative practices on their land.
carbon
Healthy soil stores carbon and grows food with more nutrients.
Participating businesses add a 1% optional charge to the bill, and this money gets passed along to our partner, Zero Foodprint. Since it is a donation, customers can always choose not to pay. There is no cost to the business, nor is there a tax advantage – the business is just acting as a conduit for donations.
SMALL DONATIONS, BIG IMPACT
Through small donations across the food system, we can fund farm projects that draw carbon straight from the atmosphere and store it underground, creating nutrient-rich soil while sequestering greenhouse gases.

Zero Foodprint has already deployed $2.4+ million (over 150 grants) to sequester more than 104,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide. That’s an equivalent climate benefit of not burning 11.7 million gallons of gasoline! People spent over $752,000,000 on food and drink in SLO County last year! That means if we can get even 10% participation in the program, we could raise $752,000 annually to support carbon-negative farming.
Zero Foodprint works with over 200 partners across California, Oregon, and Colorado. They are a James Beard Humanitarian of the Year and were named “Most Innovative Company in Agriculture” by Fast Company. Zero Foodprint is endorsed by CalEPA, CA Dept of Food and Agriculture, and CA Air Resources Board.
