Active Campaigns and Programs

Resilient SLO

Resilient SLO is a flagship program of the SLO Climate Coalition. Its mission is to guide you through actions you can take to reduce emissions that cause climate change. Together with our friends, neighbors, and co-workers, we can help create a cleaner, healthier future, save money, and reduce our impact on the environment. Actions are simple everyday things that everyone can do!

* lower emissions * save money * save water * reduce waste * build community resilience *

Project leaders: Laura Albers and Kristen Hazard

Uniting the Central Coast for Action

Uniting the Central Coast for Action (UCCA) is a flagship program of the SLO Climate Coalition working in partnership with Romero Institute’s Let’s Green CA initiative.

Individuals and environmental organizations in the five counties served by Central Coast Community Energy have formed a regional partnership. Together, we assess the needs of the area and collaborate on educational and advocacy opportunities. Together, with common purpose, we amplify our voice calling for impactful climate action.

Project leaders: John Smigelski and Eric Veium

SLO Green Transportation

The guiding vision of Green Transportation is to increase use of electric vehicles and other electric modes of transportation in San Luis Obispo. The program works to ensure equitable and affordable access to the benefits of clean transportation. Local events for National Drive Electric Week are held each Fall.

Green Transportation also works in partnership with the City of SLO to create an Electric Mobility Roadmap, working toward a fossil fuel-free transportation system.

Project leaders: Barry Rands and Erin Pearse
